Now do you like my country
G'day all from halfway around the world.
The last few days have been spent in Amsterdam and also London and what an eventful few days it's been.
Pete and I arrived into London at 6:25am on Sunday the 4th(Happy birthday Dave). Almost directly after we met up with Tim Skinner and Payten Giles, and we were on our way to Amsterdam on a flight which should have left Heathrow at 9:50. It was then that we found out that the plane we were on was missing a piece of its left engine. Lucky us! We were forced to catch a later flight which ruined our chances of getting to Rotterdam and seeing the Australia v Holland friendly. When we got to Amsterdam it really got interesting though.
Sitting in the airport watching the Football we met a very strange individual, by the name of Wouter. All I'll say is that he made our stay in Amsterdam surprisingly scary and hilarious at the same time. And if your wondering, his favourite catch phrae is the title to this post.
We spent about two days in Amsterdam which was fun for all the family.
Now we're back in London and staying at Tim's place until the 11th when we head to Frankfurt to begin our World Cup adventure.
Hope everyone is well, make sure you post some comments.

Hey Nathan
Good to hear from you at last. Sorry you didn't get to see Oz v Holland. The house is sooo quiet I am having conversations with Alice.
love Mum
amsterdam eh? And you don't have anything more to say...
glad to hear you made it. got my "in guus we trust, hiddink 06" t-shirt i ordered. ready to watch oz dominate the group! well at least kick ronaldinho around a bit. games in the US are on at 9am, 12pm and 3pm. right in the middle of the work day and do you think the yanks have any appreciation for this? you bet they don't... ah well. Mum, talking to the cat is okay. Just let us know when she starts taling back...
Good to hear you made it over there ok, and appear to be having a ball... (um, yes...i really did just say that...and no, i'm not taking it back...!) I think your going to have to include a bit more detail on this thing though, because some of us are vicariously(!) living our travel dreams through you! But yeah, hope you're having an awesome time! Inflatable 5! (See, one of the pitfalls of going overseas is that your going to miss key, hilarious Scrubs moments/calls. It's just something you're going to have to deal with!!! haha. Someow i think being overseas makes up for that!) See ya! LuvC
hey nath!!
pity about the holland game eh! but i think the games that you will be seeing in the next week or too will make up for it. how is tim?? wouter sounds like a dutch timmy B!! amsterdam fun for the family?? mushroom pizza's and 'coffe' houses!!' hooraaa!!
mark in australia there is a little thing called a patriotic holiday for events such as these.(SICKKKY)

trying to save the sicky for the optimistic possibility of a second round meeting with someone from group E or the croatia game, dependson the groups results. tough one to call... ahh the strategy and tactics involved would boggle guus.
